Boone REMC has an immediate opening for a Warehouse Supervisor. This position is open to internal and external applicants. Successful candidates will meet the qualifications listed below. Submit an application form no later than noon on June 19, 2019 to Pam Warmoth.
EDUCATION: Qualified candidates are required to possess a high school diploma, or equivalent.
EXPERIENCE: Knowledge of Rural Utilities Service (RUS) specifications and assemblies as well as the National Electric Code is preferred; previous work experience in a cooperative distribution system is helpful.
The principal role of this position is to procure and expedite supplies and material to meet the present and future requirements needed to provide adequate and dependable service to all members and supervise the warehouse daily operations and inventory control. Essential duties for this position include:
A. All purchasing activities, including researching products for availability, pricing, creating purchase orders, scheduling shipping and receiving, staging material delivery, and processing material invoices for payment;
B. Supervising stockmen, warehouse and pole yard operations, manage workflow and establish department goals, organization of materials in all buildings and pole yard;
C. Manage inventory to meet upcoming work schedule, oversee cycle counts, reconcile inventory discrepancies, track inventory variances to verify warehouse process performance and recommend procedural changes, as needed;
D. Meet with primary vendors on a regular basis to discuss any problems, and new business;
E. Collaborate with Operations and Engineering departments, as required, and provide information to line crews to ensure the correct parts are taken to jobsites.
A. High school diploma or general education degree (GED) is required.
B. Associates degree, or higher, in related field preferred. (Supply Chain Management, Business, Accounting, etc.)
C. 3-4 years of experience in Supply Chain Management or electric utility line work required.
D. 3-4 years of customer service experience is preferred.
E. High level of grammar, spelling, and proofreading capabilities with organizational and file construction/retrieval skills.
F. Strong exposure to various computer software.
G. Must be able to proficiently use office equipment such as computer, keyboard, copier, printer, fax machine, etc., including advance proficiency with Microsoft Office, the internet, spreadsheets, databases, and other software applications, as required.
H. Must hold a valid driver's license.
I. Must be able to attain a Commercial Driver's License (CDL); possessing a CDL is beneficial.
J. Possessing a valid forklift operator certification.

L. Ability to adhere to cyber-security protocols established by the cooperative.
M. Operate a forklift to load, unload or move material in warehouse and storage lot.
N. Be familiar with current PCB regulations in regard to testing, packaging, storing and shipping PCB's or PCB contaminated materials.
O. Speak clearly and listen carefully.
P. Use personal judgment and specialized knowledge to give information to people.
Q. Work and communicate effectively with a variety of individuals; management, employees, members and others.
R. Maintain assigned equipment and supplies.
S. Maintain confidentiality and discretion regarding cooperative information.
